Work.
MY POSITION.
I was elected to the Board of Governors just after the holidays in 2016. I served as the Student Representative for Lakeland College Board of Governors and was able to work on a lot of projects that have had a major impact on the college and its students. We were able to meet with the Minister of Education and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry for Alberta during my tenure and bring more funding for students and our programs. Building a better path for our students to enter the work forces across multiple industries and specialties was extremely important for our Student Association and our facilities. During my term we were able to approve and build the state-of-the-art Dairy Learning Center and Animal Health Clinic. Learn more by checking out the video below.
My time serving on the Board was such an honor and great experience. I was able to meet and connect with a lot of industry leaders and politicians to help bring funding and opportunities for our students across Canada.
